Avant Garde Attends Cybersecurity Resilience Training in Antigua Guatemala

In March, two team members from Avant Garde traveled to Antigua, Guatemala, to participate in a three-day training focused on enhancing cybersecurity resilience. The event brought together small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across Central America, including Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama.

The training was organized through a collaboration between LAC4, the Delegation of the European Union to Guatemala and Costa Rica, and EUreCA. Avant Garde was honored to be selected as one of 18 SMEs from a pool of over 150 applicants.

As a digital agency, we understand the vital importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding our operations and maintaining the trust of our clients and partners. Managing digital assets responsibly requires continuous learning, especially in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The hands-on sessions guided us in developing a Cybersecurity Implementation Plan tailored to our agency, which we presented on the final day. We were proud to be recognized among the top three presentations for our approach and commitment to cybersecurity best practices.

We extend our sincere thanks to the European Union, LAC4, the EU Delegations in Central America, Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), Comisión de Gobierno Abierto y Electrónico (GAE), and EUreCA for organizing this impactful training.

This experience marks a milestone in our cybersecurity journey. We are excited to applying what we’ve learned and further strengthen our digital infrastructure to continue delivering secure, high-quality services to our clients.
